Focus platform for builders

The people who ship
are already locked in.

A focus tracker for builders, founders, and students. Passive capture, public-by-default sessions, and a leaderboard of friends actually getting it done.

LockIn Home: a day timeline of focus sessions beside a daily summary showing 4h 34m locked in.

Passive by design. No timers to start, no tags to pick. LockIn watches the apps you actually use and the URLs you actually open, and quietly turns them into focused time.

Public by choice. A small feed of friends sees your current session, today's total, and your streak — never the document, never the keystroke. The pressure is mild, social, and works.

Local by default. Everything is captured on your Mac in a local SQLite store. Sync only fires for the categories you've explicitly marked shareable. You stay in control of the truth.

Focus sessions

Detected automatically from frontmost app and URL.

Friend feed

A small circle of builders, live status, weekly totals.

Streaks

Hit your daily floor and watch it climb. Miss it and it resets.

Timeline

Your day as labelled blocks of work, not a wall of app names.

A feed of people
actually getting it done.

No opinions, no reposts, no infinite scroll. Just the sessions your friends finished today, what they were in, and who is locked in right now.

LockIn Feed: friends' shared sessions with a rail of who is locked in right now.

Set up once.
Run it the way you want.

LockIn is opinionated about defaults and quiet about the rest. Turn things on, turn things off, and it stays out of your way.

It lives in your notch.

A Dynamic-Island-style pill that shows what you're doing and how long, without ever stealing focus from the actual work.

Streaks that mean something.

Hit your daily focus floor and the counter climbs. Miss it and it resets — nothing motivates like a number that can break.

Public, but on your terms.

Local-first storage and per-app sharing toggles. Friends see what you decide to show — never the document, never the URL.

A leaderboard
of people you know.

Not strangers, not a global rank. Your friends, sorted by hours actually locked in this week, with the streaks and the movers beside them.

  • Filter by Locked in, Warm up, or Distracted.
  • This week, this month, or all time.
  • Your standing tells you exactly who to catch.
LockIn Leaderboard: seven friends ranked by hours locked in this week, with streaks and rank movers.

Talk without
leaving the work.

Messages live inside LockIn, so a nudge to a friend never costs you a context switch into another app. Reply straight from the Dynamic Island and stay where you are.

  • Direct messages with reactions.
  • Inline reply from the notch, no window needed.
  • Muted automatically while you are in deep work.
LockIn Messages: a direct-message thread with a friend, alongside the list of conversations.
Live globe

Friends, plotted around the world.

Open the map and the dark globe spins quietly with every friend at their last city. A green ring means locked in right now. Hover any pin and you see what they're working on, how long they've been at it, and what time it is on their clock — without a single notification ever firing.

  • 3D Mapbox globe with a custom dark style and atmosphere.
  • City-level only — coordinates are jittered server-side by ±2 km.
  • One toggle hides your dot without going fully offline.
LockIn Live Map: a dark 3D globe with friend pins, and a card showing one friend's current session.

Answers to the questions
that come up most.

About a minute. You install the Mac app, sign in with email, grant accessibility permission, and LockIn starts tracking. No timers to wire up, no projects to configure.
No. It uses macOS's standard frontmost-app APIs and the browser extension only sees the URL bar — never page content. No screenshotting, no OCR, no keystrokes.
By default: a category (Code, Design, Writing, etc.), the app name, and your elapsed time. You can choose to share more (project, document) per friend, or less (just "online / offline").
Free during the entire beta, no card required. After beta there's a small monthly fee for sync and the friend feed. Solo local mode stays free forever, and beta users keep a permanent discount.
You'll get a heads up at least 30 days before paid plans go live. Your data is yours — local SQLite plus an encrypted backup — and you can keep using solo mode forever even if you don't subscribe.
Message me on Telegram. It is the only support channel during the beta, so it reaches me directly and you get an answer the same day.
